Service Engagement Process
Phone Consultation
Superior service begins with the first conversation. When you phone the HK Facility Services line, a representative will listen to you describe your
facility’s needs then use this information to pair you with one of the many industry experts we have on hand. Your consultant will
continue the listening process and contribute qualified insight as you define your objectives, identify the project’s scope, establish a general
project timeline, and convey your business’s expectations.
Consultation Activities:
- Define Objectives
- Identify Scope
- Establish Timeline
- Convey Expectations
Site Audit
After consultation, an audit will be conducted to gather whatever additional information is needed to formulate a full project strategy.
In most cases, this involves a site visit to inspect the facility and may include reviewing operational procedures, interviewing staff, taking system
vitals and statistics, making physical measurements, and obtaining the pertinent Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements.
On-Site Audit Includes:
- Facility Inspection
- Operational Review
- System Statistics
- OEM Requirements
Program Plan
Data collected during the consultation and auditing phases will be used to tailor a service plan suited distinctively to your facility. During this process,
simulations may be constructed and alternative approaches weighed. The formulation will be narrowed according to value, as the plan comes under
peer scrutiny and is readied for your final approval. This practice ensures the completed plan best captures your operation’s objectives and maximizes
your investment returns.
Service Plan Checklist:
- Consolidate Data
- Weigh Alternatives
- Peer Review
- Maximize Investment
Transition
Once consensus has been achieved, the service plan will direct the project installation process. HK will assign resources, secure materials and devote personnel both internally and on site as needed to oversee the plan’s implementation through to completion. Depending on the project scope, this may entail equipment integration, software set up, personnel training, and the building of inventory in accordance with RSPLs (recommended spare parts lists.)
Installation Covers:
- Equipment Integration
- Software Set Up
- Training
- Spare Parts
Service Execution
Following installation, the new systems, procedures and/or services will be set into motion and thoroughly tested. Each feature will be evaluated against the project scope and fine tuned, if necessary, to achieve its prescribed performance. Before your facility signs off in agreement, there will be confirmation that the relevant operational procedures, throughput levels, work order generation, computerized reporting, maintenance scheduling, staffing requirements, support availability and safety protocols adhere to agreed upon standards.
Service Execution:
- Thorough Testing
- Fine Tuning
- Meet Standards
- Facility Sign Off
Monitoring
Signing off on a successful start up will signal the final step in the process. Your facility’s progress will be monitored over time to see that the solution continues to be a good fit for your business. The informational tools included with the project scope, such as site technician reports, CMMS data, and support center requests, will be used to spot trends, isolate recurring issues and find opportunities to enhance training. A Project Manager may also meet with you to set additional improvement goals, advise with resource adjustments, or plan future innovations to help you keep pace with growth.
Monitor Progress:
- Good Fit
- Recurring Issues
- Enhance Training
- Improvement Goals
